Understanding often arrives long before change does. The distance between the two is where this work happens.
I’m a somatic therapist based in Tāmaki- Makaurau/ Auckland, offering a body-based, experiential approach to therapy. Many people come to therapy already knowing why they feel the way they do, yet still find themselves caught in the same emotional or physiological patterns. Understanding can be important, but it doesn’t create change on its own.
Together, we work with your nervous system through attention, sensation, and direct experience. Sessions are collaborative, gentle, and responsive to what your body is ready to process. Rather than pushing for insight or quick solutions, we create the conditions for change to unfold at a pace that feels sustainable.
Over time, people often notice a greater capacity to stay present with difficult emotions, less reactivity, and a deeper sense of connection with themselves; their instincts, creativity, relationships, and sense of agency in their lives.
If you’re curious about this approach, you’re warmly invited to get in touch. I’d be open to answer and questions and support you in exploring whether this might be helpful for you at this time.
